Armageddon 2419 A.D. introduces Anthony Rogers (later known as Buck Rogers), who wakes from 500 years of suspended animation to find himself in a futuristic world of war and advanced technology. A foundational work of early science fiction, it inspired generations of space adventures.

Armageddon—2419 A.D. is the first appearance of the character that would become Buck Rogers. First published in the August 1928 issue of Amazing Stories, followed by a sequel in March 1929.
