Hollywood is indelibly printed in our minds as the ‘go-to’ place for entertainment and has been for decades. When there really did seem to be more stars in Hollywood than in heaven, Hollywood Stage had them performing films as radio plays - on the sponsor's dime, of course. Classic films now become audiobooks, with many featuring the original stars from way back when. Here's Alibi Ike starring Joe E. Brown and Helen Chandler.

As Philo Vance and District Attorney Markam were looking through the apartment of John Green, who had been murdered the day before, Markham was shot. Both of their suspects, Mrs Green and a man named Edward Lee, have alibis for around eleven o’clock, the time they believe the murder of John Green was committed.
