Imagine a secret society older than the stars, holding the most important job in the universe. Its members are the Time Prophets, guardians of the Order of the Fixed Path, charged with repairing the time lattice, the invisible web that holds yesterday, today, and tomorrow together.

This episode is the preface to their story. It begins with a feeling: time is not a straight road. It is a living thing, breathing and shifting beneath our feet, and history is far more fragile than we are taught to believe. In 48 BCE, Demetrius Thutmose, the Wise, archivist and instructor of a clandestine mystery school in a hidden annex of the Great Library of Alexandria, vanished in front of a sea of people, alongside his colleagues. They have not been seen since. They are expected to return.

Inside the episode:

- Parallax Morph Syndrome (P.M.S.), the condition that lets a person perceive themselves from multiple positions in time, and that breaks the unready.

- Inner weight: the deep memory, wisdom, and examined pain that lets a Time Prophet hold competing realities without losing who they are.

- Motere Sanctum, the 27-foot wall that chooses whom it chooses. To the unworthy, solid granite. To a ready soul, water, then light, opening a road from ancient Alkebulan to Atlantis.

- ProfessorClock, the Black One, who remembers forward from inside Cosmodromium Sanctuary, and the council that guides the Order: Adebisi, Thoth, and Am-Ra Set, with Demetrius Thutmose as founder and headmaster.

- The cipher every initiate memorizes, drawn from The Book of Khemetic Dissertations: "Nothing else matters but this moment, in space, and NOW-TIME."

- The Grid (Geometron Relocation Interspacial Device), the Seven Principles of Awareness for space-time travelers, and the substance called Psephir.

A Time Prophet swears three laws: honor the charge, fulfill it, close the time. Succeed, and your name is encrypted in the Index of Constants inside the Halls of Amenti. Fail, and you risk erasure from all temporal records.
