Our guest for today's episode is the one and only Eric Longar, a bjj black belt and the head of operations at 10th Planet Tanglefoot right outside of our STL area! Eric has over a decade of experience in the sport that began with his hopes of joining the military that led to him training on base after his wife (at the time girlfriend) entered the service when he was not able to. This led him to living in Mississippi and eventually finding his way back to STL. Spending extended time in Vegas, Eric became well versed in the active fight scene and this led to him focusing mostly on nogi bjj and eventually operating his own 10th Planet location close to home. His story is one that reminds us that no matter what life throws at you, the white belt mentality is one of the most gangster things a person can keep front of mind. You're never too good to keep learning and Eric exemplifies that not only in his bjj philosophy by how he raises his kids with his wife!

Today we are pleased to bring you a man with an incredible story and with an even more incredible personality full of humor and resolve - Todd Nicely! Todd served in the Marines during tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and his life was changed forever when happened to step on an IED. This would cost him limbs and almost his life and would effectively begin the part of his story that truly tested his resilience. Now an author, speaker, and a guy who can poke fun at himself even when it comes to the most sensitive topics, Todd's story reminds us that what goes around comes around and even despite circumstances...his heart to serve and bless others is something we can all learn from.
