Well we are back and Dad has been searching high and low for a red stag of his own.

Its been tougher hunting with less noise and less rutting activity.

However Dad’s still seen plenty of deer and had a few close encounters.

In todays episode we travel back from Gippsland, Victoria, Australia after 10 days of bowhunting “Hog Deer”.

These secretive, minuscule creatures are Australia’s smallest feral deer. Unlike other deer species in Australia, hog deer are classified as a game species in the state of Victoria.

Meaning that you need a license and male / female tags to hunt them during the month of April. Join us for our thoughts on hunting these critters for the first time.
