We all have this ‘ideal’ version of ourselves in our mind, where we’re perfect. Productive. Always motivated. Always in the mood to do the right thing.

I know I used to. 

In that ideal version of myself, I’d always get up early, make my bed right away, pay my bills on time, do the dishes right away…

But all of that was relying on one element: hopeium.

Wishing for it. Wishing for things to be different doesn’t make them so.

But, one day, I did this one exercise that changed my life, and it really helped me become closer to that idealized version of myself. 

By imagining a future to avoid.
