  • Lee Island
    Jul 21 2026

Hey there, Scorekeepers! We're back... for a minute at least. We just wanted to check in real quick and drop a proof of life before we duck back out for a little more vacation. This week, we catch up with a quick conversation about what we've been watching so far this summer before we dive into all the creative projects we've been working on. Rocky got a nice promotion at his day job. Paige took a restorative trip to Jamaica and is embarking on a very exciting masquerade project that will take them all over the African diaspora. And Dr. Bynum is working on a new opera called 90 Miles from Anywhere, which explores the fascinating history of Black migrant workers in Long Island, NY. And the best part is that you, dear listener, can help with both Lee and Paige's projects! So listen to the episode and then check out the links below if you want to get involved. Let's do it to it, y'all and we'll see you again in August!

    Jun 9 2026

Hello, dear Scorekeepers! Happy Pride to you all! Have we got an episode for you today! Heated Rivalry! Drag Race All-Stars! Cult documentaries! Plus, did you know there's a theater company in England that tried to mount a production of Dreamgirls with an almost exclusively white cast? I mean they certainly tried it and we're here to chat a bit about why that might be a touch problematic. All that plus, a special Pride-themed PBJ and Paige delivers a word, as they're often wont to do. Let's do it to it, y'all!

  • A Mother of an Episode!
    May 26 2026

Hi there, Scorekeepers! Welcome to another episode of THE SCORE! This week we're doing a bit of news roundup. From AI to Spencer Pratt to frivolous lawsuits aimed at Black doctors of all people, we've all the news that's fit to print. Plus, we chat about Black, queer composer Omar Thomas and his piece "A Mother of a Revolution!" which commemorates the Stonewall Uprising and the life of Marsha P. Johnson and, infuriatingly, was recently banned by a school board in Wisconsin for celebrating "political violence". We also chat about Knoxville, Tennessee's school board banning Alex Haley's Roots, and what the erasure of our history and culture means for Black and white kids alike. All this, plus an extra spicy edition of PBJ! Let's do it to it, y'all!

  • The Post-Racism Episode
    May 12 2026

Hey there, Scorekeepers! It's time for another episode of THE SCORE. Now that SCOTUS has declared America past racism, we can finally turn our attention to other things. (And thank goodness! Wasn't that a bummer for the past 400 years!) Namely, the Tony nominations and the Met Gala. Plus, Paige leads an important conversation about the scourge of Black femicide ravaging our communities. And, as always, we'll end with a culinary edition of PBJ. Let's do it to it!
