Brilliant

Insightful and witty. Rory and Alastair make a compelling duo - the differences in their backgrounds, experiences and politics let them have real debates on hefty matters. They live the fundamental democratic principle that we can disagree strongly but respectfully, and that we can debate passionately with those we disagree with while remaining friends.

Just discovered

Am totally hooked on this podcast and am spending every free minute binge-listening the episodes I have missed. Agree with so much of the talks, incl. likes and dislikes — not to say loathing — of individual politicians, huge appreciation of linguistic abilities of both Rory and Alastair, their views on prisons in the UK, and just about everything else, except perhaps private health insurance (now when cancer operations are delayed?) and private education … lots to be said about that.
In conclusion: thanks so much for this incredibly brilliant and intelligent contribution, just wished we could have a Campbell—Stewart coalition government.

Informative take on state of affairs

I found this podcast an informative take on UK current socio-political and economic events and foreign affairs. The banter between Stewart and Campbell is occasionally good humoured ribbing, oftimes an insightful discussion, and most importantly, a great way to get one's arms around all the moving parts that make up our interconnected world.

Informative, witty and thoughtful

If only more discussion about politics was as good as this how much better a place would we be in, instead of the mad tribal world of British politics we're all exhausted by. I look forward to it eagerly every week. Thank you Alistair and Rory.

Fantastic, balanced, fair and truthful

This is such a well rounded podcast. Two people debating at times, respecting one another's views with humour and looking at issues with sense and gravitas.

Our current front facing politics is missing the care, thoughtfulness & sincerity of both - whatever your politics!

Excellent BUT missing a voice from the right

Add Portillo or some other calm measured voice from the right of the political spectrum and this would be the perfect podcast.

excellent

discussion is rich and thought provoking. we need more of this type of discussions that allow the British public to think and then draw their own conclusions. this is something that social media will never be good at.
