  • Douglas: Not My Time to Be There — 57 Steps and a $65 Camera | TKIC #54
    Nov 4 2026

Douglas grew up Catholic in a small farm town in Nebraska, adopted by parents he never thought of as anything but his own, in the years when the family farm went bankrupt and the government was writing new rules to save farms like his. His dad died while he was still young. Then came the accident. In his telling, an engine component went into his chest, a blood clot sat in his carotid artery, and the doctors found a paper-thin aneurysm on an artery feeding the heart that they feared would burst the moment they opened him up. He describes what he remembers from the hour he says he was gone: waiting, looking down at his grandfather, and then his dad lifting him under the arms, telling him he loved him, that he looks in on the family, and that it was not his time to be there. He had to go back and follow the plan. He came back angry with God, in a wheelchair at the end of a hospital hallway, staring out a window at traffic and at strangers planting a garden. Nobody was doing therapy with him yet. And then one day they tried to wheel him out to his mom's car.

This conversation walks from that hospital hallway to a bedroom in his house with a $65 camera on a tripod he still uses. Along the way it covers a near-death experience and what he says his father told him, leaving Catholic ritual behind to read the New Testament for himself, learning to walk again after a catastrophic injury, the nurses he calls angels, a daughter who told him anybody could make YouTube videos and the five-year daily posting streak he says followed, the twenty thousand free articles he says he has written, going through the New Testament chapter by chapter from nine different perspectives, finding the principles of the self-help books already sitting in Scripture, and what it looks like to be a husband and a homeschooling father while showing up for strangers every morning.

Douglas did not give a web address on the recording, so none is listed here. He says the simplest way to find him is to put his name in Google, that his daily YouTube video goes out across the major social platforms, and that his channel has a playlist called the first 30 days where it all started. His articles, he says, are free of charge.

  • Bria Isaac: I Heard a Voice Say, Your Life Is a Lie | TKIC #53
    Oct 15 2026

Bria Isaac grew up in a minister's house. Her father knew the Bible front and back, and her earliest memory of God is a children's movie about Jesus told with little clay figures. She also describes a childhood marked by fear: a night she says she woke to angels standing around her bed, a dark presence she felt outside her bedroom door, and, in her telling, years of abuse at home that her parents later said never happened. By 22 she had flunked out of college, lost her job and was facing eviction. She shares that she turned to prostitution, and that one night, sitting on the floor with $300, she spoke to God for the first time: “if you get me out of this, like, I will never do this again.” Then came seven years of acting like nothing had happened. Her mother, she recalls, told her never to tell anybody, not even a future husband. One morning when she was 29, Bria says she woke up and heard a voice say, “your life is a lie.” She washed her face, brushed her teeth and tried to ignore it. It kept coming back.

In this conversation Bria walks through the whole road: growing up in church without feeling safe at home, leaving and refusing to go back, the years she kept everything buried, and the mornings she describes beginning to hear from God and learning to test what she was hearing. She talks about hearing God's voice and the Holy Spirit, about forgiving your parents after childhood abuse, about inner healing and deliverance, and about trusting God for provision when the rent is due and the numbers do not add up. These are her experiences as she tells them, in her own words.

Bria shares in the episode that she now serves in inner healing, deliverance and mentorship.

  • Brittany Sivels: Two Decades in Homosexuality and Lust — Then a Three-Day Fast | TKIC #52
    Oct 1 2026

Brittany Sivels grew up calling herself a Christian, but in her telling it was a title and nothing more. She describes a childhood with no memory of church, a father who played Scripture in the car until she asked him to turn it off — and it never came back on while she was riding — and a moment as a girl when she said "OMG," her mother asked "where is he?", and she immediately knew to look up without knowing who he was. By her own account she spent more than two decades submitting to lust and homosexuality. On the outside, she says, people saw someone doing great: a bachelor's degree in IT, a new house, a job. She describes surrendering her life to Christ in March 2020, hearing three words on her bed while worship music played in 2021 — "Prepare to move" — and eventually going into three days of prayer and fasting. She recounts bringing a trash can to the room with her, getting on her face, and staying in repentance. What she says happened next is where she asks listeners to hear her out.

Kyle and Brittany walk the whole arc: a childhood with no real understanding of who Jesus was, a college friendship with a group from church that had "what I wanted," the confession to people who had only ever known her one way, prayer and fasting, deliverance from homosexuality and lust as she describes it, and the warfare she says came afterward — thoughts about the mortgage, the house, and whether she could keep any of it. The conversation goes deep on deliverance and what she believes comes after it, on refusing to compromise whether or not anyone is watching, on why she thinks some people will testify about everything except one thing ("Why won't you ever share that?"), on falling in love with the Psalms and singing them during the fast, on godly desires and Philippians 2:13, on boundaries with people still in a lifestyle you were freed from, and on how her family responded once the truth was out. Near the end, Brittany prays for everyone listening.

The line I keep coming back to is Brittany asking, "Why won't you ever share that?" She wasn't pointing at anybody. She was describing the one thing most of us have decided we will take to the grave, and she said it out loud about herself first. That's the whole reason this show exists. If you're listening and there's a thing you've never told anyone — not a pastor, not a friend, not out loud — my prayer is that God would meet you exactly there, that he would give you back that first love Brittany prayed for at the end of this episode, and that you would not have to carry it alone one more year. He is not shocked by it. Lord, find them.

Brittany's account of what God did in her life is her own testimony; we present it as her account, not as established fact, and we encourage you to weigh everything against Scripture.
