  • Ep. 182: Finales, Matchbox & Touching Grass
    Oct 13 2026

Finales, fast cars, and some truly terrible opinions. Welcome back to The Final Take!

Nelson and Tim are back to deliver their final takes on the finales of Ted Lasso Season 4 on Apple TV+ and Lanterns on HBO Max. Did these shows stick the landing, or are we about to need a support group for disappointed TV fans?

Then it's time for The Matchbox Movie on Apple TV+, starring John Cena, Jessica Biel, and Sam Richardson. Toy cars, action, and Hollywood doing what Hollywood does best: turning just about anything into a movie.

And because apparently we spend too much time indoors watching screens, Tim forces everyone to touch grass by reading one-star reviews from Rotten Tomatoes. Nothing says healthy outdoor living like listening to irrational people destroy movies on the internet.

Two finales. One movie. A collection of deeply questionable opinions. What could possibly go wrong?

  • Ep 181: Documentaries, Deception and a Rick Roll
    Oct 6 2026

Before the intro even starts, Tim Rick Rolls Nelson. Yep. That's how this episode begins.

After that completely unnecessary betrayal, Nelson and Tim get a little more educational than usual and dive into three documentaries covering history, artificial intelligence, money, and the questionable things people will do for it.

First up is Band of Brothers Legacy on HBO Max, followed by The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist on Netflix, exploring the promises, possibilities, and potential nightmares of artificial intelligence.

Then they take on Everybody Is Lying to You for Money on Prime Video, a documentary about the crypto industry and the hype, pitfalls and questionable behavior that can come with chasing the next big digital fortune.

So, this week we've got history, AI, money, deception—and one extremely unnecessary Rick Roll before we've even officially started.

  • Ep 179: Fall Movie Primer
    Sep 22 2026

Fall movie season is here, and Nelson and Tim are ready to pitch it!

In Episode 179, the guys take a trailer-pitch-style look at the fall movie lineup, covering the films being released between now and Thanksgiving. What happens when you take dramatic trailers, ridiculous taglines, explosions, mysterious voices, and questionable plot descriptions and turn them into a podcast? This.

Plus, Nelson and Tim give their take on the Emmys, because apparently there weren't already enough awards shows.

And finally, Tim provides a dramatic reading of one particularly brutal half-star Rotten Tomatoes audience review of Resident Evil.

    Sep 8 2026

Season 3 of Silo may be over, but Nelson and Tim aren't done talking!

This week, the guys take a deep dive into Silo on Apple TV+ and try to make sense of everything that happened after an entire season of secrets, mysteries, and underground drama.

Then comes The Whisper Man on Netflix, which gets spoiled for Nelson—and, as it turns out, Nelson is a little bit scared. Who knew a podcast about TV and movies could become a support group?

And finally, things go completely off the rails when Tim unleashes his inner military consultant to discuss Mayday on Apple TV+. Ryan Reynolds, Kenneth Branagh, and some questionable military choices make for one spectacular rant.

Plus, the usual nonsense. Because apparently that's what you signed up for.
