  • How to Fight Fear and Quit Playing Small with Mary Marantz- Episode 106
    Oct 20 2026

One of your favorite guests and mine (bestselling author Mary Marantz) is back for a conversation you're going to love!

If you're feeling stuck and ready to go all-in on your purpose, Mary's new guided journal, "It's All Been Done Before (and Other Lies Fear Told Me): Practical Prompts to Quit Playing Small," is a great tool to help you fight back against fear and do just that.

Join Mary and I as we talk about the way we speak to ourselves (and how we would never speak that way to anyone else), breaking the motivation/defeat cycle, the patterns that keep us stuck, and walking in our purpose, even when we feel afraid.

  • Still Their Mom: Real Stories of Pregnancy and Infant Loss- Episode 105
    Oct 13 2026

It is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, which can often feel like something sad but distant...until it becomes part of your story.

It is part of my story, and part of the story of many of our friends we've had here on The Bitter and the Sweet podcast. As we walk through pregnancy and infant loss awareness month, I wanted to bring together parts of my conversations with friends who have been there and understand.

You'll get to hear from two dear friends of mine, as well as part of my own story of grieving the baby I lost to miscarriage and what that looks like now, years later.

Whether you have experienced pregnancy and infant loss or a different kind of grief, I hope you walk away from this episode knowing that you may never be the same, but you will be okay. There's hope here, always.

  • Why You Shouldn't Quit with Kaitlin Chappell Rogers- Episode 104
    Oct 6 2026

If you've ever been wanted to just give up, this conversation is for you!

Today's episode is a conversation I got to have with my friend, Kaitlin Chappell Rogers. Kaitlin and I met at She Speaks back in 2019, and I'm so thrilled to have her on the show celebrating the launch of her brand new book, She Just Won't Quit.

Kaitlin is on staff at Proverbs 31 Ministries, wife to Caleb, and mom to three little boys. She is the host of The Comeback Couch podcast and the author of multiple books, including her latest, She Just Won't Quit: Embracing the Practice of Everyday Perseverance.

Kaitlin and I got to talk about if perseverance is something we are born with or something we develop (or both!), building resilience in our kids, telling the difference between burnout and just being tired and when there is something else like a mental health condition at play, and practical ways to build perseverance.
