    As Muslim immigration in the United States has increased, Americans have witnessed the rise of organized political Islam. In states like Michigan and Texas, where immigration has created broad demographic shifts, Islamic diasporas are organizing to alter politics in their new homelands. American Christians have been taught for generations that religion and politics do not mix — that it is a serious social taboo to explicitly organize electoral activism around faith. But the new arrivals with entirely different cultures, traditions, and faiths have no such reservations. Christians must learn to fight for their faith, because the future of the nation belongs to those who are dedicated to ensuring that their way of life carries on.     Flavio Bolsonaro has fled to America after losing his bid for the presidency of Brazil in a stunning upset. Bolsonaro led in the first round of elections and was expected to secure victory until his opponent, Lula da Silva, received a surprising surge of votes from unlikely sections of the country. Flavio’s father, Jair Bolsonaro, is currently serving a 27-year jail sentence after his loss to Lula during a contentious election in 2022. While Donald Trump has stated that the results of the election seem suspicions, outside of providing temporary asylum to Flavio, it seems that the administration does not intend to take action to address the questionable result. Despite the highly questionable nature of the election, no one in the international community is acting to intervene on Bolsonaro’s behalf. The entire episode should serve as a warning to conservative Americans that no one is coming to save them if US elections fall apart.
