    Since forming in 2001, TV On The Radio have been pushing the boundaries of music.

    Original members Dave Sitek and Tunde Adebimpe were inspired by Radiohead and released their first demo album, Ok Calculator, in 2002. Two years later and with the addition of Kyp Malone, TVOTR released the critically acclaimed Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, an album so full of creativity, experiment and raw emotion that it was hard not to ignore.

    The band have released 5 studio albums to date and in this episode we’re taking a look at all of them and the new york scene of the noughties. Gareth and James test their knowledge in the AI v Artist lyric game and as ever we have a 15 track playlist of our favourite TVOTR cuts!

    We're celebrating one of the most energetic, insane and criminally underrated bands of the 00's. The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster!

    They mixed punk and psychobilly with a heavy dose of Buddhism and LSD to create one of the most exciting sounds of the 00s!

    As well as chat on the band and their albums we talk beer, Buddhism, green bees, all the goths, bad 80's sitcoms, Top of The Pops, Edgar Wright, Phil completely screws up and of course there's another epic battle in the AI V Artist lyric game!

    We’re exploring her first four solo albums, from Debut to Vespertine, but also looking at everything before, including her first record, punk and The Sugarcubes amongst other things.

    Gareth, James and Phil discuss their history with these albums and share some insights in to their lives growing up in Essex.

    We’ll also see whether James and Gareth can work out the Bjork lyrics from the A.I’s in our lyric game!
