The Tories have drawn level with Reform UK for the first time in 18 months in a fresh boost for Kemi Badenoch. Labour is currently on 23% while Tories and Reform are both on 21% according to the latest YouGov poll.

A heavily packed "mega-dinghy" made a 38-hour journey from Normandy across the English Channel to the UK, while monitored and escorted by the French navy. Around 60 migrants started the journey from north of Bayeux, just before 10am on Monday, and arrived in the Kent port after midnight following reports they had been bound for Gosport. Six people were arrested after anti-migrant protesters clashed with police following the crossing.
