Shelli’s out this week, so Joe sits down with Grant Reynolds, Young Adults Pastor at Topeka Baptist Church. They talk about how young adults ministry has been going, how Tuesday nights typically look for the Young Adults ministry, and the story behind the group’s new name, The Fount.

Then they turn to “Take My Life,” Chris Tomlin’s take on Frances Havergal’s 1874 hymn “Take My Life and Let It Be.” Joe shares the story of how Havergal came to write it, and he and Grant walk through Romans 12:1–2 and what it looks like for young adults to give God their whole life — body, mind, and all of themselves.

Joe and Shelli dig into “Everlasting God” by Brenton Brown and Ken Riley and the passage behind it, Isaiah 40:28–31. They talk about the God who never grows tired, the strength He gives to the weary, and what it looks like to wait on Him with real trust.

Sunday's worship set had one thread running through it: every song was about love. In this solo episode, Joe walks through 1 John 4:16–19 and what it means that God is love, a love proven at the cross and living in us by His Spirit. Drawing on Warren Wiersbe's commentary, he looks at how perfect love casts out fear, whether it comes from the past, the present, or the future. He closes with the hymn "Because He Lives" as a reminder that, because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow.
