In January 1998, Deputy Kyle Dinkheller made a routine traffic stop that turned out to be anything but routine. He was murdered while doing it. The dashcam footage has been shown thousands of times at police academies all over as a lesson on how quickly things can go bad. Kirk is Kyle's Dad, He travels to academies and shows the video and talks officers through it to hopefully help them make it home.
