  • Beam Me Up Scotty!
    May 19 2026

We go all out for the celebration of Scott Pendlebury's AFL games record. Every 433 seconds, one of our intrepid team will say something Scott related. Listen carefully because it maybe subtle, vague or even obtuse.

Also in this Scott-stacked episode, a deep dive into World of Scott.

We dare ask the questions that have puzzled for years:

Is Scott a better surname or Christian name?

    Is Scot-free really free ?

Was Scott of the Antarctic reckless?

When did Australian Crawl lyrics become relevant or intelligible?

And that smooth segue leads us into this:

Instead of the usual dusty Top 40 chart or a musical autopsy on an artist's life's work, it's 'Scott Mania'.

Who is the best Scott? Is it an actor, a singer, an explorer or maybe a golfer, writer or a Thunderbird? What?!!!

Get on board the Scott Express, leaving now ...... Ruck ON!!!

Robust, spirited, feisty, vigorous, unyielding, tempered, lively, compelling and intense are just some of the words you won't hear in this episode of Ruck 'n Roll, but several describe the nature of banter in this week's program. You might like to add inane, irrelevant, unprintable, insulting and nonsensical. No more words, time for some music.

Our musical journey takes us to the Bermuda Triangle of Top 40 on board a 3XY chart from May of 1985. It has not aged well.

  • It's Not Unusual.
    May 5 2026

All hands are on deck for this episode as Stephen J Peak returns. It is a culinary explosion as Stephen shares his rather dubious degustation destination during his absence. Who knew dinner could be an occupation!? The SJP Experience isn't finished there, wait 'til you hear about his nocturnal balcony activities.

The following episode is rated OMG and may contain Adult Themes with childish giggling, Nudity with screaming and vomiting, Language other than English and Foul and Horror - God you will experience the horror.

You will also hear the occasional intelligent discussion about sport and musically, Sir Thomas Jones Woodward aka Tom Jones is the act under the spotlight.

So all join hands and try to contact the living ... Ruck ON!!!

  • Accidently Kenny Street!
    Apr 28 2026

Mark Fine returns from Singapore and Stephen J Peak is a no show! Shock! Horror! Gasp! The gossip columnists would dine out on this development, but nothing to see here. No IVO's here, the only orders Mr. Peak is interested in come from Uber Eats.

In this episode Anzac Day and the Anzac Appeal round get a robust 360 review. As does the AFL's ARC, Scott Pendlebury and Billy Field. That would be the first time that pair have ever been in the same sentence.

Musically, as we use the term loosely, we head to 1992 and dive head first into the ARIA Top 40 for the year, which has Billy Ray Cyrus perched at number 1. Nuff said.

  • Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
    Apr 21 2026

While Finey explores the culinary delights of Singapore, it's an old school three ring circus and there is no shortage of clowns, that's for sure. There are no safety nets used here.

Roll on up under the Big Top (one of Stephen's recently laundered golf polos). Ken performs stunts, both cunning and not so. For Kev, it's the Tightrope and other Leon Russell songs. The grand finale is Stephen 'Danger is my middle name' Peak * and his amazing death defying fire eating and sword swallowing act. That is something to behold -especially as he washes it down with a seven course banquet from Fongs of Brighton - and in the show stopping finale finale with the wave of a sauce smeared chopstick, SJ peak becomes the elephant in the room. Ta Da! And to think the tattooed man missed all this.

Musically, it is the purity of rediscovering a 4IP Top 40 chart from February 1968. No bells or whistles required.

  • People Hearing Without Listening.
    Apr 14 2026

    It's Showtime.

Get ready for a powerful pontification of the people's position pertaining to the pleasure provided when the participants perform their professional pursuits in pastures whose proximity precludes the provision of the populace.

Gather round because unlike Adelaide in April, the heat is on, the seats are undercover and nothing floats in its own pea, or at least we hope not.

Musically, we keep it simple - Simon and Garfunkel.

And now here'sssssssssssssssssssssss Don or Kev!

The world is prepared for the moon landing, petrol rationing, fluctuations in the share market and global political upheaval, but is anyone ready for Stephen J Peak and his juiced up laptop? His drive is hard, his discs no longer floppy and his storage has increased, but calling himself ‘The Gigabyte King’ might be a stretch.

Ken ‘The Gig Pig’ Francis has been gadabouting across the CBD (ie: Chelsea, Brighton and Dingley) to see everyone from Jo Jo Zep to Brian Nankervis and The Moon Man. Life imitating Artemis?

Finey is firing after an incredibly busy week at Lenny’s Fine Foods. He’s pumped full of vegetable lasagna and intelligent opinions. A first for this podcast.

Kev’s in his musical element with a Top 40 Chart from 3XY dated April 18th, 1975. OMG it is OLD but GOD IT'S BAD - not ICK like, ACE like. You DIG?

It's like sitting around a campfire, toasting marshmallows and singing Kumbaya!

Said no-one ever about this podcast.

With Finey toiling away in the Lenny's Fine Food kitchen, the gleesome threesome roll on regardless and clueless.

Stephen J (The Pompitous of Love) makes some bold football predictions that verge on comedic genius or madness. A team of AI monkeys is currently discussing possible surgical options.

Ken shares his thoughts on Kylie being announced as the AFL's Grand Final entertainment plus the real story of where and when Locomotion became her entree to international pop stardom.

Kev's as happy as Larry, Curly and Moe with the musical selection as this week it is The Hollies.
