Heavenly Father, we come before You as this day draws to a close. Thank You for every kindness received and every moment of strength that carried us forward. Lord Jesus, take the burdens we cannot resolve tonight. Bring peace to anxious minds, comfort to grieving families and reassurance to those facing difficult circumstances tomorrow. Holy Spirit, quiet the noise of regret, comparison and fear. Teach us to release the conversations we wish had gone differently and to seek forgiveness where it is needed. Protect children, strengthen exhausted carers and watch over those working through the night. Be near to people in hospitals, temporary accommodation and communities affected by conflict. Where sleep is difficult, give patience and wisdom to seek appropriate help. We surrender our need to control tomorrow and place our loved ones into Your faithful care. As daylight begins to soften, there is an invitation to remember the goodness of God. Welcome to this uplifting early evening prayer of thanksgiving with Reverend Ben Cooper of DailyPrayer.uk, London, England.

You may be ending a wonderful day, or perhaps one that has tested your patience and strength. Nehemiah encouraged God’s people to rejoice, share with others and find strength in the Lord’s joy. Through Jesus Christ, gratitude can flourish even when life remains difficult.

We give thanks with New Zealand, Kenya, Austria, China, Ireland, Zambia, Hungary and Singapore.

Father of everlasting goodness, we lift our hearts in worship as evening approaches. Thank You for sustaining us through this day, including the moments when we scarcely noticed Your mercy. Lord Jesus, restore joy where disappointment has left us weary. Remind us that our worth is not measured by achievement, possessions or the approval of others. Holy Spirit, awaken gratitude for simple gifts: a conversation, a meal, an unexpected kindness and the strength to continue. Teach us to rejoice without overlooking those who are grieving or struggling. Make our homes places of welcome and our churches communities of generosity. Where relationships have become strained, guide us towards reconciliation. Where resources are scarce, provide wisdom and trustworthy support. We praise You for the salvation we have through Jesus Christ and the hope of His resurrection. Let thanksgiving move beyond our words into compassionate action. May the joy of the Lord strengthen us and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ glorious name, Amen.

Our hope rests in Jesus Christ, crucified and risen. We trust Your compassion while receiving medical care with gratitude.
