We've come here to chew bubblegum and talk about movies... and we're all out of bubblegum.

Spooky Season has arrived at Pro Wrestling Forever! Professor Degree and Blade Daily welcome Jeff from the Skewered Universe Podcast for a special crossover episode celebrating John Carpenter's 1988 cult classic They Live, starring the legendary "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Part science-fiction horror, part political satire, and part gloriously ridiculous '80s action movie, They Live follows an unemployed drifter who discovers that alien overlords have secretly infiltrated society, using advertising and mass media to keep humanity obedient.

We're digging into Carpenter's anti-consumerist message, the film's fascinating behind-the-scenes stories, Piper's surprisingly excellent performance, and, of course, one of the most absurdly entertaining fight scenes in movie history.

Along the way, we ask some very important questions:

• Is They Live a genuinely great film or simply a spectacularly entertaining cult classic?
• Did Roddy Piper deliver one of the greatest acting performances by a professional wrestler?
• Why does a fight over a pair of sunglasses last approximately seventeen thousand minutes?
• And why does Carpenter's 1988 satire feel increasingly relevant nearly four decades later?

It's horror fandom meets wrestling history, with plenty of nostalgia, questionable observations, and an unreasonable amount of affection for a movie about punching aliens in the face.

OBEY. CONSUME. MARK OUT.

Professor Degree and Blade Daily welcome Books and Bodyslams for a trip back to WCW Halloween Havoc 1989 — a show Books has never seen from an era of WCW she’s never experienced.

And what an introduction.

Ric Flair & Sting battle Terry Funk & The Great Muta inside the ridiculous Thunderdome with Bruno Sammartino as special guest referee. The Steiner Brothers meet Doom for the first time. The Road Warriors collide with the Skyscrapers. A young Brian Pillman challenges Lex Luger. The Dynamic Dudes arrive to the delight of absolutely no one.

There’s also The Cuban Assassin on PPV, babyface Midnight Express, an extremely Philadelphia crowd and Tommy Rich’s deeply unfortunate choice of ring gear.

Is Halloween Havoc ’89 actually good?

Well…yes. Ish. Sometimes.

We break down the entire card, the matches that still hold up, the wonderfully strange world of late-’80s WCW and what Books thinks of seeing it all for the first time.

Pro Wrestling Forever is a celebration of wrestling history — the classics, the forgotten gems and all the wonderfully weird stuff in between.

Follow the podcast and join Professor Degree & Blade Daily as we keep digging through the history of professional wrestling.

This was supposed to be our AEW All Out 2026 review. But after the sudden passing of Benjamin Satterley — known around the world as PAC and, earlier in his career, Neville — that show could wait.

Professor Degree and Blade Daily come together to remember one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation: the matches that made us fans, the moments we'll never forget, and the almost unbelievable technical brilliance, athleticism and intensity that made PAC unlike anyone else.

From his years on the UK independents and Dragon Gate to WWE, AEW and the Death Riders, we look back at the career of a wrestler who seemed capable of doing absolutely anything inside a ring.

But this isn't really a career retrospective. The news is too fresh for that.

It's friends gathering to talk about a wrestler who gave us countless hours of joy. It's sharing memories, appreciating the work he left behind, and trying to put into words what Benjamin Satterley meant to us as wrestling fans.

No rankings. No grand historical perspective. Just a celebration of PAC — his matches, his moments, his brilliance, and the memories we'll carry with us.

Rest well, PAC.
