When it's homecoming night at Matteson's high school, he decides to throw the afterparty for his tight-knit group of friends in his backyard. Living in a small, rural town, he knew everyone who was set to show up. When his friend Bobby pulls in with another silhouette trailing behind him, he innocently assumed it was his younger brother tagging along, only for the mysterious identity to be revealed when the silhouette steps into the light.

Whenever Eric and his high school friends had free time, they enjoyed exploring abandoned places, especially Arnold Heights, a deserted former military housing community. During one visit, they met another group of explorers who warned them to stay away from an area known as "Sector X," which was rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a grieving father who went on a murderous rampage after his son drowned. Rather than scaring them off, the story only sparked their curiosity. Determined to see if the legend was true, they set out in search of Sector X.

When Ashley was only 11 years old, she moved back to her parent's home country of Mexico. While the transition was difficult at first, she came to love her new life. Most of all, this move allowed her to develop a meaningful relationship with her grandfather whose life was full of grand stories. It wasn't until she was older though, that her grandfather confessed a traumatic moment in his life that surprisingly revealed just how much the paranormal is woven into her family history.
