Navigate with Tim Austin is a podcast for anyone navigating a season of change and wondering how to move forward with greater clarity, courage, and hope.

In these short, personal coaching conversations, Tim explores the questions that often surface when life is changing—questions about direction, identity, purpose, relationships, faith, and what comes next. Each episode combines personal stories, practical coaching insights, and thoughtful questions to help you slow down, pay attention to what matters most, and take your next faithful step.

Tim Austin is a professional coach who has spent more than 30 years walking alongside people through seasons of change—as a coach, pastor, missionary, leader, husband, and dad. His own life has included numerous transitions across cultures, careers, roles, and seasons of family life. Those experiences have shaped a simple conviction at the heart of Navigate: transition isn't something to rush through or simply survive. It can become an invitation to deeper clarity, growth, and purpose.

You don't need to have the whole path figured out. Sometimes you just need enough light for the next faithful step.

  • How Do I Know What My Next Step Is?
    Aug 31 2026

When you're in a season of transition, one question can feel especially pressing: How do I know what my next step is?

We often think we need complete clarity before we move forward. But sometimes what we're really looking for is certainty—the assurance that we're making the right decision and won't regret it later.

In this episode of Navigate, Tim explores a different approach: instead of trying to figure out the whole path, focus on what you already know and the next faithful step you can take. Sometimes that step isn't a major decision at all. It may be a conversation, an experiment, a question, or simply giving yourself permission to explore.

You'll also be invited to consider three coaching questions:

    • What do you already know to be true about this season?
    • What is one step you could take that would help you learn something?
    • What would your next step look like if it didn't have to answer every question about your future?

You don't need the whole path illuminated. Sometimes you just need enough light for the next faithful step.

  • Why We Resist the Seasons We Need Most
    Aug 22 2026

What are you resisting right now—and what might that resistance be telling you?

In this episode of Navigate, Tim shares from his own experience of stepping away from a ministry role to pursue coaching more fully—and the resistance that surfaced along the way. What looked like a career decision was actually touching nearly every area of his life: family, finances, relationships, identity, purpose, and faith.

Resistance doesn't always mean we're headed in the wrong direction. Sometimes it reveals what we're afraid of losing, what matters most to us, or where growth is asking us to release something familiar.

In this episode, we'll explore how to become curious about resistance rather than simply trying to overcome it—and how to discern the invitation that may be hiding underneath it.

    Reflection Question:
What am I resisting right now—and what might that resistance be telling me?

  • The Three Core Tensions We All Navigate
    Aug 10 2026

Transition often creates tension—but tension isn’t necessarily a problem to solve. In this episode, Tim explores three core tensions we all navigate during seasons of change and how they affect us both internally and externally. You’ll learn how to identify the tension that feels most present for you and begin managing it with greater awareness, clarity, and intention.

A question to consider: Which of these three tensions feels most present in your life right now—and what might change if you stopped trying to resolve it and began learning to navigate it?
