  • The Future Of The Pod!! New Guests, New Games & BIG Plans For This Season | EP. 418
    Aug 5 2026

On this week's episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Chris, and Sids return for a pre-season catch-up as they look ahead to another year of football, guests, and complete podcast chaos. Fresh from a summer break, the lads swap stories from their latest adventures, including Pete's new obsession with barbecuing, why outdoor kitchens are harder to use than they look, and the ambitious plans for a 24-hour charity livestream that could become one of the biggest things TPCP has ever attempted.

With the new football season just around the corner, the boys turn the episode over to you, reading through hundreds of listener suggestions for how the podcast could evolve. From crossover episodes and live tours to new weekly games, Sunday League commentary, bowling competitions and even a wives takeover, no idea is too ridiculous to escape discussion. Along the way they somehow find themselves defending the reputation of every bloke called Carl, pitching LeBron James as a regular feature, and putting Barack Obama on the ever-growing guest wishlist.

The lads also reflect on just how far the podcast has come over the past decade, from recording in pubs to interviewing Oscar winners, future kings and football's biggest names, while looking ahead to another season packed with huge guests, Premier League chat, and plenty of the nonsense you've come to expect. As always, let us know your favourite ideas in the comments below and tell us which new feature you'd love to hear on TPCP this season.

    Jul 21 2026

On this episode Pete, Sids and Tom bring the curtain down on an unforgettable six-week journey across the 2026 FIFA World Cup, recording their final tournament episode from a New York City pub after witnessing Spain crowned world champions.

I really enjoyed the early few seasons of this pod. I have had to unsubscribe now because it has become a platform for advertisers and the content is little more than 90s faux lad banter. the cross overs with YouTubers etc who have nothing to do with football marked the end and sadly the original ethos of the lid is lost.

some will no doubt like the new style but I find it over commercialised, repetitive spoken edition of zoo and nuts magazines

started out brilliant, but is now an ad platform
