About this listen

When 18-year-old Niamh Maye went missing in 2002, her family did everything they could to help the police find her. But, like so many missing persons cases, there comes a time when the leads dry up and there’s nowhere left to look. Researching what was to be a single episode, the Casefile host found so many intriguing elements, he took four years to make this incredible series.

At last, episodes short enough to enjoy on ordinary car journeys and a really interesting and well presented podcast. Had to be Casefile.

Heartbreaking story, told with amazing sensitivity. I couldn't stop listening and hope this podcast will draw out new information for Niamh and her family. RIP Niamh.

A tragic event, very well researched, well presented, with a good flow that made it easy to follow along.
Sadly, more evidence of the police’s and society’s relaxed attitude towards male violence against women.

I binged on this on my commute over a several days.
Only gripe is the most annoying narrator. I initially thought it’s an AI generated voice, he was that grinding and difficult to listen to.
Fortunately, the series contained interviews with family members and friends and they made it bearable to listen to all the episodes.

Tragic event, very well presented, spoilt by most annoying narrator.
