    God has no “plan B” for restoring, renewing, and rebuilding lives and communities - you are His “plan A.” In Nehemiah 5, we see how selfishness and the love of money can hinder God’s work, while godly leadership confronts sin, pursues repentance, and seeks to restore what has been broken. Nehemiah’s leadership was shaped by the fear of God, leading him to lay aside personal privilege and serve sacrificially. In the same way, Jesus gave Himself for us, and our response to His grace should be a life marked by generosity, service, and sacrifice. We don’t serve to earn salvation; we serve from the salvation we’ve received. When God transforms our hearts, it changes how we live and how we see the needs around us. Like the early church in Acts 2, our generosity and service can become a powerful witness to the gospel. God can use every “little yes” to bring His renewing work to others.
