In Clinging To The Promises Of God, Dr. Michael Youssef teaches from the inerrant Word of God that the Lord always keeps His promises, but His people must not ignore His conditions. After Elijah confronted Ahab in obedience, he climbed Mount Carmel, bowed before God, and prayed until the rain came. He prayed specifically, obediently, persistently, and expectantly. This message calls believers to repent of shallow prayers, stop treating God’s promises lightly, and intercede with faith rooted in Scripture. As How God Works continues, Elijah’s life shows that the divine Christ honors obedient trust and sends His servants forward in Gospel Truth.

In Public Opinions Or Private Obedience, Dr. Michael Youssef declares from the inerrant Word of God that God does not bless compromise, confusion, or divided hearts. On Mount Carmel, Elijah stood alone against Ahab, the prophets of Baal, and a people wavering between two opinions. His public courage was born from years of private obedience and intercession. This message calls believers to repent of spiritual fence-sitting, reject the idols of public opinion, and bow only to Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God. As How God Works continues, Elijah’s life shows that God answers the prayers of obedient servants who stand for Gospel Truth without fear.

In God's Blessing And Life's Blasting, Dr. Michael Youssef shows from the inerrant Word of God that blessing and suffering can stand side by side in the life of faith. The widow of Zarephath had seen God provide daily bread, yet her son died, and her pain turned into fear, guilt, and accusation. Elijah did not argue; he interceded. Alone before God, he cried out with bold faith, and the Lord restored the boy’s life. This message calls believers to repent of trusting their emotions, cling to God’s promises, and pray with holy persistence. Through Elijah, we see how God works to reveal His power and point sinners to the living Christ.
