Martin Luther gave you your Bible and taught Protestants to treat every brother who differs like an enemy. Both are true.

The monk who couldn't get clean, the verse that broke him open, Worms, the Wartburg, the plague of 1527, and the table at Marburg where the Reformation split. Where Luther stood on everything: how a man is saved, election, Scripture, the end of the age, baptism, the Table, how a church is run, the magistrate, the Jews, and what a Christian nation is. Then the 90-day warning: what's true, what's panic, and what my house is doing about it.

"For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, 'The righteous shall live by faith.'" (Romans 1:17, ESV)

DAILY ACTION
Tomorrow at breakfast, read one of the Ten Commandments aloud to your household and ask, "What does this mean?" Every person at the table answers.

The church in America has become a circular firing squad, and Christ wrote a letter to a church like that.

LOCK SHIELDS | The Seven Letters, Part 1: Ephesus
Revelation 2:1-7 explained: Christ's letter to the church of Ephesus, the first of the seven churches of Revelation. Ephesus tested every teacher and hated what Christ hates, yet had abandoned the love it had at first. With the Apostle John at Ephesus, the Baptists of 1677, and Vienna, 1683. Preached by Pastor Jason Perry at KrossFarer Church, Johnson City, Tennessee, on the Lord's Day, October 18, 2026.

"Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent." (Revelation 2:5, ESV)

DAILY ACTION
Make one repair this week. Name the brother you have fired on. Call him voice to voice. Own your part. Ask his forgiveness.

THE SHIELDWALL, Episode 2

A king with his own frontier on fire rode 250 miles to save a Christian city that was not his, for men who were his enemies.

Live from the farm. First, Christian nationalists at war with each other while the horde is at the bottom of the hill. Then Vienna, 1683, told from inside the wall: the baker who held two months with a musket he did not know how to fire, Kara Mustafa's army under the bastions, the two prayers on either side of the valley, and Jan Sobieski and the winged hussars coming down the Kahlenberg. Then the man three valleys over from you who is on that wall tonight, and a walk through THE FORGE.

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God." (Psalm 20:7, ESV)
