About this listen
This episode we begin the reading of Journey to the Interior (or Center, or Centre) of the Earth. In it the discovery is made, in a very old book, a piece of parchment containing mysterious Icelandic runes.
These runes were to appear here; unfortunately Buzzsprout won't let me import images into the show notes. If I get ambitious I'll post them on the website.
Professor Liedenbrock and our young narrator, and the professor’s nephew, Alex puzzle over the message. When the professor rushes out of the house, perhaps to cogitate whilst walking (and whacking the heads off of thistles with his walking stick) Alex deciphers the runes.
Alas, we will have to wait until next episode to find out what they say.
