    Jun 1 2026

This week on Girls Like Me, we're celebrating two years of the podcast 🤍🎀

In this special anniversary episode, I reflect on the journey of building Girls Like Me from the ground up, the lessons I've learned, the challenges I've faced, and the incredible community we've built together along the way.

What started as an idea has grown into a platform reaching thousands of women every month, creating conversations around confidence, ambition, healing, and becoming the woman you're meant to be. This episode is a chance to look back on the highs, the lows, and everything in between, whilst sharing what's next for Girls Like Me.

    We also speak about:
    ♡ building something from nothing
    ♡ confidence & self-belief
    ♡ taking risks
    ♡ navigating uncertainty
    ♡ lessons from entrepreneurship
    ♡ community & connection
♡ becoming the woman you want to be

This episode is for every girl who has ever had a dream bigger than her circumstances and chose to keep going anyway.

This week on Girls Like Me, I’m joined by Olivia — currently ranked #7 in Great Britain for padel 🎾🤍In this episode, we go beyond sport and talk honestly about the realities of pursuing something at a high level whilst balancing pressure, ambition, identity, and a full-time career. From hearing crowds chant her name when she stepped onto the pitch, to rebuilding confidence and continuing to push forward through uncertainty, this conversation is honest, motivating, and incredibly powerful. We also speak about:♡ confidence & self-belief♡ discipline and consistency♡ balancing career + passion♡ women in sport♡ pressure & comparison♡ wellness & mindset♡ becoming the woman you want to beThis episode is for any girl learning how to keep going even when things don’t look exactly how she imagined. If you enjoy the episode, don’t forget to follow, share & tag us on socials 🎀CONNECT WITH OLIVIA:Instagram: @oliviaciftcipadelTiktok: @oliviaciftcipadelCONNECT WITH AALIMAH:Instagram: @aalimahhughes TikTok: @aalimahhughes FOLLOW GIRLS LIKE ME:Instagram: @girlslikemepodcast_TikTok: @girlslikemepodcast_For collaborations or sponsorship enquiries: aalimahhughes@gmail.comJoin the community & stay connected: aalimahhughes.komi.ioWatch another episode: https://youtu.be/bi6k-6gE9D8

  • EP 30 - Diagnosed With Stage 4 Angiosarcoma: Nothando’s Story | Rare Cancer Awareness
    Apr 22 2026

Hey Girls 🎀.......Joining me this week is Nothando, a talented hairstylist from Leicester who built a successful business and strong community through her creativity, before her life took an unexpected turn. After initially being told her symptoms weren’t serious, Nothando was later diagnosed with stage 4 angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.

In this episode of Girls Like Me, we have a raw and emotional conversation about navigating a life-changing diagnosis, losing parts of your identity, and finding strength in the most difficult moments.

This is one of those conversations that stays with you.

    We get into:

    - Life before her diagnosis as a hairstylist and building her brand- Being dismissed early on and why advocating for yourself matters

    - Receiving a stage 4 cancer diagnosis and processing that reality

    - What chemotherapy and daily life looks like now

    - Stepping away from her business and the emotional impact of that- Navigating fear, uncertainty, and mental resilience

    - Finding moments of hope, strength, and purpose- Raising awareness for rare cancers like angiosarcoma

    - Why listening to your body is so important

If you’ve ever needed a reminder of your strength, or the importance of trusting yourself and your body, this episode is for you 🎀
