Recorded live at GalaxyCon San Jose last year, I sat down with legendary comics artist, writer, publisher, and now Eisner Hall of Famer, Denys Cowan for a wide-ranging spotlight conversation about his incredible career in comics! Cowan is best known as a co-founder of Milestone Media, and the co-creator of Static, but his decades-long career has also included groundbreaking work for DC Comics and Marvel, including Black Panther, Black Lightning, The Question, Batman, and countless other iconic characters and stories. In this candid conversation, Cowan talks about his journey into the comics industry, the creation and legacy of Milestone Media, his first job in comics, and working with other creators to help change the face of superhero comics, and what it takes to build a lasting career in the industry. Recorded at GalaxyCon San Jose in 2025, this is a great chance to hear one of the most influential creators in modern comics talk about his work, his career, and the evolution of the superhero genre!
