About this listen

My audio interview series, featuring some ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Flirting with a Fish dissects the lives of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, teachers, innovators, etc., whose focus in life is learning and not just achieving.“In the routine hustle of life, we keep meeting people focused on trapping the fish. So, when you meet someone who likes to flirt with the idea of catching a fish, you can’t help but turn around and notice.”Match My [Talent]’s latest initiative is a step towards making some raw, unfiltered conversation, with such unique people. These are people who may or may not have been bestowed with a successful/unsuccessful tag by society, but they clearly live well-rounded, satisfying lives because of their commitment to their purpose in life. This initiative is not limited to just performers and creators; ‘Flirting with a Fish’ is a universal podcast series that offers a little something to anyone who identifies themselves as a human being because the ‘passion’ and ‘success’ is not limited by industries.

Is brand loyalty real — or is it just smart marketing?

In this upcoming conversation with Hari Krishnan, Managing Director, Content & Group Marcomm, Publicis Group India, we break down how brands, hype, celebrity culture, and psychology shape our buying decisions more than we realise.

From the Diffusion of Innovation Curve to Apple’s ecosystem, EV hype, and promotions that don’t look like promotions, this episode reveals how modern consumer behaviour actually works.

Why do people queue for products?
Why does hype feel bigger than reality?
And why do we believe we’re making rational choices… when most decisions are emotional?

This episode connects marketing theory, real Indian examples, consumer psychology, retail design, and culture to explain how brands quietly influence our preferences, aspirations, and identity.

Watch till the end — once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

In this powerful podcast, Nadim Siraj (Journalist, Author & Critical thinker) breaks down how global power actually operates and which of this is the most important - story, language, media, education, money, military might or patriotism. From Hollywood and Netflix shaping narratives in India, to the hidden role of English education in global control, this conversation connects history, geopolitics, and present-day realities.

    - We explore how English is not helping but breaking us down
    - How the definition of patriotism has been given to us as a candy
    - Why the US maintains military strength in thousands, worldwide
    - How the petrodollar system, sanctions, and media narratives decide which nations exist or vanish
    - And why China’s rise is forcing the world into a new power struggle that directly impacts India

This episode is not about conspiracy theories.
It’s about connecting dots, understanding history, and seeing how narratives shape consent before wars begin. We must know!

If you care about geopolitics, India’s future, global economics, or critical thinking — this conversation will challenge how you see the world.

  • How to be effective in Communication| Ft. Purvesh Sharma| Sonia Choksi
    Jan 10 2026

    Send us a text

    I thought I was a good listener.

Turns out, I was just waiting for my turn to talk.

    And honestly… that realization hurt.

I sat down with Mr. Purvesh Sharma, a transformational communication course leader at Landmark Worldwide, and this conversation quietly dismantled everything I thought I knew about listening, connection, and being present with another human being.

What we call “listening” is often just noise in the background, judging, planning, defending, rehearsing.

Rarely presence. Rarely openness. Rarely courage.

Purvesh shares why most of us have never truly listened, not even to the people we love most and how that silent gap is where relationships slowly die.

One story stayed with me: a divorced couple attended his workshop, and by the end of the weekend, chose to remarry.

Not because they fixed each other.

But because, for the first time in years, they actually heard each other.

    This isn’t about communication techniques.

    It’s about dropping the armor.

    Letting the mind soften.

And allowing another person to exist without interruption.

If your relationships feel stuck, your conversations feel empty, or your leadership feels performative, this conversation isn’t comfortable.

    But it’s honest.

And sometimes, honesty is the beginning of real connection.
