  • Glory to the Unfathomable God | Romans 11:33-36
    Aug 9 2026
After presenting his thorough and rich teachings on sin, faith, God's sovereignty, and Israel, Paul brings this theological portion of his epistle to a close with a doxology that summarizes his thoughts. Paul concludes that God's wisdom is unfathomable. God's ways are unfathomable. And God's grace is unfathomable. All things are from him so we thank him. All things are done through him so we rely on him. And all things are to him so we glorify him. Let us join with Paul in this doxology of praise and wonder.

  • God's Plan of Salvation | Romans 11:1-32
    Aug 2 2026
Although Israel has largely rejected God, Paul argues that God has not rejected Israel. Rather, God has a plan of salvation for Israel, which involves preserving a faithful remnant in Israel, using Israel's rejection to bring the gospel to all nations, and securing the fullness of salvation for Israel in due time. Seeing that should encourage us because God is always at work, often in mysterious ways, to carry out His plan of salvation.

  • Beautiful Feet, Open Mouths, and Outstretched Hands | Romans 10:14-21
    Jul 26 2026
Paul continues to address the "problem of Israel" and he deals with one final objection: What if Israel didn't believe the gospel because they never had the chance to hear the gospel? To that objection, Paul shows that Israel had ample opportunities to hear the gospel. As such, when it comes to evangelism, we need to share the gospel with beautiful feet (sacrificial initiative), open mouths (clear explanations), and outstretched hands (winsome perseverance). While we don't have the power to change hearts, we have been given the feet, mouth, and hands to share the gospel that can change hearts.
