This week on the podcast, I share insights on why new CT technologists often feel lost after training and how to bridge the gap between training and the education piece needed in-between. I discuss site-specific workflows, the importance of understanding the 'whys' behind protocols, and introduce the upcoming 12-week CT Tech Academy that I've created.

This episode tackles why new CT technologists often don’t feel like CT technologists yet, even after completing training. Karinna breaks down the real reasons behind the lack of confidence: inadequate training, constant second-guessing, fear of mistakes, feeling behind, imposter syndrome, and being expected to perform independently before they’re truly prepared.

She challenges the “just push the buttons” approach to CT education and explains why competence comes from structured education, repetition, practice, and support, not simply surviving your training period. The episode also introduces the CT Tech Academy and CT Without the Guesswork as resources designed to give new technologists the structure and confidence they need to succeed.
