When former CIA case officer Douglas Laux takes a Hollywood bus tour about the unsolved 1947 murder of Elizabeth Short, aka the Black Dahlia, he knows virtually nothing about the victim, the crime, and the investigation. But when Doug learns just how many different theories there are about who did it, he decides to leverage his CIA skillset to try and solve it once and for all. The first person Doug seeks out is former LAPD detective, Steve Hodel, whose scandalous and personal theory about the case has become a Hollywood sensation.©2022 Audible Originals, LLC (P)2022 Audible Originals, LLC

It’s a really interesting story in general, but the narration and sound effects are completely over done - it becomes one of those 3am type shows.

Interesting story, annoying narration

I really enjoyed this podcast. It was well narrated and didn’t drag the story out, and we got a possible suspect at the end. It’s like the identity of Jack the Ripper, we’ll never know for certain.

Loved it

Excellent, very intriguing and interesting that it has never been solved, makes me think who was/is involved. Another one of those cases that will remain a mystery. I have listened to it 4 times to pick up the information. thanks

the title pulled me in .
