Summary
Sally and her party make contact with 5186a, a former slave of the Masters, who now leads a growing revolt against them. The mysterious Benefactor, however, is not providing them with sophisticated weapons for their cause, though he is teaching her more about Earth than could be expected. As Sally talks with her, however, it appears the alliance between the former slaves and the Benefactor is far from secure.
