About this listen

Our brain is a machine for jumping to conclusions. Derren reveals how the Halo Effect, Anchoring and Confirmation Bias distort our ability to judge one another – when interviewing someone for a job for example. And nothing makes it more difficult for us to read each other than our powerful instinct to lie, and our equally instinctive tendency to believe.

So useful for my work providing psychoeducational therapy to women who have experienced trauma. Links to the research studies would be KaMaZiNg if at all possible and thanks for making this accessible to all by being free. I know my clients will find it incredibly helpful, and so do I.

I listen to massive amount of non-fiction books (mainly covering psychology, biology and business). While I truly love the insights they typically provide, listening to them gets a little stale and content presentation - a little too dry.

Derren Brown narration makes Bootcamp for Brain extremely pleasant and fun to listen to. The content combines serious topics, includes expert's opinions and sprinkles sound effects and music at perfect times when the attention of the listener would start to dwindle.

Most fun I had on my commute since forever.

This made me furious! Now I wish all my non-fiction books were narrated by Derren Brown with sound effects sprinkled on top...

Heard most of it before but then I’ve read a lot I’m about this subject because I find it interesting! I love everything Derren does so really enjoyed the podcast. I would have liked some biographies and references in the show notes as I would like to find out more for myself and know more about Ed

We’ll presented and interesting
