Dragnet presents “Big Key,” episode 271 of the classic radio series, originally broadcast on October 26, 1954. Jack Webb stars as Detective Sergeant Joe Friday, with Ben Alexander as Officer Frank Smith.

Assigned to LAPD Robbery Detail, Friday and Smith investigate a hold-up man targeting Los Angeles drugstores for cash and narcotics. With few solid leads, the detectives methodically work the case through the department’s painstaking police procedure.

Dragnet presents this original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
