  • The Alcatraz Escape: Did the Three Missing Prisoners Actually Survive?
    Aug 18 2026

On the morning of June 12, 1962, a guard at Alcatraz reached toward what appeared to be a sleeping prisoner and discovered a false head on the pillow. Three inmates had vanished from one of America’s most secure federal prisons.

Frank Morris and brothers John and Clarence Anglin had spent months widening ventilation openings, building dummy heads, preparing paddles and life preservers, and assembling an inflatable raft from prison raincoats. Allen West helped develop the plan but failed to escape with them.

The breakout from the cell house is established history. What happened after the men reached the edge of San Francisco Bay remains unresolved. The FBI eventually concluded that drowning was the most likely explanation, citing dangerous water, currents, and recovered escape-related property. Yet investigators never conclusively established the final fate of any of the three men.

This episode examines the physical evidence, the reconstruction of the escape, the FBI investigation, the Angel Island paddle, the later survival claims, the disputed Brazil photograph, and the alleged John Anglin letter. Did the raft fail in the bay, or did at least one escapee reach land and disappear?

  • The Kandahar Giant: Did U.S. Soldiers Kill a 12-Foot Giant in Afghanistan?
    Aug 12 2026

In the mountains of Afghanistan, during the early years of Operation Enduring Freedom, American forces conducted real searches, raids, reconnaissance missions, and cave-clearing operations in terrain that was difficult to reach and dangerous to enter. Out of that setting emerged a modern military legend: the Kandahar Giant.

The story claims that around 2002, an American patrol disappeared near Kandahar. A second team, often described as Special Forces, allegedly found military equipment outside a cave before confronting a red-haired humanoid said to stand twelve to thirteen feet tall. According to later anonymous accounts, the being carried a spear, killed one serviceman, and was shot repeatedly before its body was removed by military aircraft.

No authenticated photograph, military report, casualty record, aircraft manifest, named witness, biological sample, or declassified document has publicly confirmed the encounter. Yet the legend has not remained confined to anonymous retellings. In 2022, a real Freedom of Information Act request filed with the Department of Defense Inspector General sought records concerning an alleged six-fingered, double-toothed humanoid killed in Kandahar during 2002. The government log proves the request was made, not that the event occurred or that responsive records existed.

This episode examines the story’s strongest claims, the real war that gave it a believable setting, its connections to biblical giant traditions, the problem of missing records, and the possibility that the Kandahar Giant is either an extraordinary classified encounter or a military legend built from war, folklore, and years of retelling.

Each summer, invited men gather on private redwood land near Monte Rio, California, at Bohemian Grove, the Bohemian Club’s restricted retreat. The images that made the place famous are real: a monumental owl, robed performers, a nighttime ceremony called the Cremation of Care, and the burning of an effigy known as Dull Care. The club describes the event as symbolic theater meant to cast off ordinary worries. Critics see something more troubling: elite ritual, secrecy, and access among politicians, executives, military figures, financiers, academics, and media leaders.

This episode follows the documented history of the Bohemian Club from its artistic origins in San Francisco in eighteen seventy-two through the growth of the Grove as a gathering place for American establishment power. It examines the owl shrine, the ritual, the motto “Weaving Spiders Come Not Here,” the camp system, private Lakeside Talks, and the documented nineteen forty-two atomic-project meeting at the Grove. It also examines Alex Jones’s hidden-camera footage, the Moloch and human-sacrifice claims, and the strongest sociological interpretation offered by researchers such as G. William Domhoff and Peter Phillips.

The central dispute is not whether Bohemian Grove exists. It does. The harder question is what private ritual and elite fellowship make possible when formal business is discouraged, public records are absent, and powerful relationships form beyond public view.

This podcast used to be very engaging and entertaining when there was a human presenting it. Now it feels like the script is written by AI as often in the podcast pieces are repeated. The reader/voice may also be AI. It’s extremely monotone. I miss what this podcast used to be. Listen to the older episodes!
