Jeff Kildow writes alternate-history thrillers where war, aviation, espionage, and technology collide with frightening possibilities. He is the son of a World War II veteran, an Air Force veteran himself, and a retired aerospace engineer, which means when Jeff writes about bombers, atomic threats, secret missions, and the fragile turns of history, he is not building stories on guesswork.He is the author of the Joel Knight Menace series, including Nazi Menace, Red Menace, Fourth Reich Menace, and America Under Attack—books that ask one of fiction’s most powerful questions: what if history turned just a few degrees darker?And in a world where authors are wrestling with AI, authenticity, and what makes a story feel truly human, Jeff brings us back to something fiction still desperately needs: lived experience, deep research, and the courage to imagine the past as a warning for the future.➡️Check out Jeff's website below;

Modern MMA didn’t appear out of nowhere. And the story behind its most iconic stage has been debated for decades. In this episode, Greg 'Kazja' Patschull shares his claim as the original creator of the Octagon, tracing its roots back to his early promotions, Cage of Rage, and the blueprint he says inspired the sport’s future.

We dig into the controversy, the timeline, the disputes over credit, and the forgotten history that shaped what MMA would eventually become. Whether you’re a fight fan, a history nerd, or someone who loves hearing the real story behind big ideas, this conversation pulls back the curtain on one of combat sports’ most contested origins.

My guest today spent forty years in courtrooms as a prosecutor, a defence attorney, and a trial lawyer who's seen just about everything, including organized crime cases. Then he went back to school for clinical social work and spent years working as a therapist and addiction counselor. Somewhere along the way, both careers taught him the same thing: a huge number of people are sitting on a legal problem they don't understand, too stressed and too unsure of the cost to ever pick up the phone. So he built something new. A legal consulting practice that helps people figure out what's actually going on and what their real options are, without ever stepping in as their lawyer.

My guest today is Bob Martin!

Like life, podcasting isn't so simple. You can have all these different ideas and plans of what you want to do, but sometimes, all you can do is give everyone an update as to where things are, and what to look forward to!

Today, I'm joined by author, Dan E. Hendrickson. The author of Railroad Man: Legacies Son, amongst other works, Dan isn’t just a storyteller; his life has spanned law enforcement, martial arts, and small business ownership, experiences that have shaped his ability to craft characters with gritty authenticity. In his latest book, he brings to life a pivotal era where railroad builders, Native leaders, and determined women intersect, blending high-stakes adventure with themes of courage, love, and respect for heritage. A Wyoming Native, Dan's latest novel, Railroad Man talks the extension of the railroad from Cheyenne to Billings, adding in a tense and dramatic story to an already exciting piece of history. We talk this, Dan's own personal history as a writer, and more.
