About this listen

 Each week authors must race the clock to meet the required writing challenge. Four presidents of publishing houses will be listening for commercial viability while guest judges ranging from actors to publicists, and multi-media heads of companies evaluate the quality of the writing.
These evaluations will determine who moves on to the next level. The last author standing wins a traditional publishing contract, the dream of many authors.

Writing Reality, the literary showdown between four authors (Dr. Michael Nelson, Lisa Towles, Shelia Bell, and newcomer John R. Kyle), begins recording August 4th with the first episode airing August 11th at 7 pm EDT. The show will be a joint production of AITL Media and 40 Day Writer, LLC.

    Week two tested the marketing viability of the books. All the authors prepared a book blurb to prove to the publishers their book would sell to readers. Elimination depended on their skill with the pen. Unfortunately although they all fought valiantly in the literary arena, one author was eliminated.
    Guest Judges this week were show host(Nola Nash), a USA Today bestilling author(D Gomez), and the president of a 20+ year PR firm(Suzanne Mattaboni).
