Until recently, the inner child concept eluded me. I then read a book on the subject and started to understand it. This book has given me elucidation on this concept and now I am able to understand how it applies to me. It has heightened my self-awareness I now appreciate my neurological responses and why they are as they are. It is clear that the author has personal experience and this, along with her expertise and communication competence are harnessed in this book that will positively impact the lives of many, as they follow the techniques to reconnect with their inner child by working through childhood trauma.

I particularly like the chapter on managing emotions and how to say NO and take back your power. It also discusses how to establish boundaries in order to maintain your sense of self. Empowering indeed!
