You will gain:
CLARITY on what you want and who you want to be.

GROWTH TACTICS for good times and bad.
SKILLS for building the right team based on strong values.
INSIGHT on power plays and the art of applying leverage.

Combining these principles and revelations drawn from Patrick’s own rise to successful CEO, Your Next Five Moves is a must-listenfor any serious executive, strategist, or entrepreneur.

Not worth the time or money

Narrator just goes on and on, making the most basic, obvious and simple things sound like he invented something groundbreaking.

Bought it based on the good reviews, but really disappointed.

At least his messages are easy to understand and explanations are clear, so giving it two stars instead of one

This guy is just bragging

Honestly, This book seems like vanity project for the author. He’s just bragging all the time. I get you’re big deal, but please get over yourself will you.

Great storyteller, but

A great story teller, but the book is entirely focused on strategy (actually mostly tactics) within the parameters of starting a business/entrepreneurship. This is not what was expected. For aspiring entrepreneurs however, this is a great find.

Recycled ideas

In many instances the book sounded like a library review of self development and business books...
The book could have been shorter.

Amazing

Very well written and no hard business language, I'd recommend this book to anyone that is interested on learning business mindset and strategy.

A detailed battle plan.

As a Valutainment fan, I'm used to PBD's speaking style... which is captivating, persuasive, and enthusiastic.
There is much crammed into this book of which you'll almost certainly gain some food-for-thought, insight or memory-jog to help get you on the right path and strategise better for whatever you're next endeavour is eg interview, meeting, negotiation, business venture or even navigating personal relationships!
There are moments where it may drag a bit if there's a segement which isn't particularly relevant to you, but just as you're not going to need to read every segment of an encyclopedia or dictionary this just makes it comprehensive.
I have made many bookmarks of which to come back to; I highly recommend.

Mediocre; few actionable take-aways.

Your Next Five Moves seemed like a must-read strategy book. The author tries to connect skilled business people with chess grandmasters. it's a weak thesis and never really connects with the content and information presented. in most chapters, the author is simply trying to recall what he did 10-15 years ago. Given this, it is hard to connect with much of the background info and narrative. It is just not compelling; it is a mediocre text at best; and, by the end of the audiobook I was really like, " So what? Where are the real take-aways to help me grow a sustainable and profitable business?"

Too much fluff

I got halfway through the book and gave up. I'm a huge fan of the author, but this book has way too much fluff! You're better off checking his content on YT way more actionable and useful.

Meh

If you like his YouTube channel, you’ll enjoy this because it is the same style. Lots or common business and self-help, but little original or useful deep dive info. I love business and entrepreneur books, but this was just meh.

Truly art in literature

As a young entrepreneur I’m always skeptical on the information I take in. I don’t want to be misled and want to avoid any mistakes early on my career if possible. Patrick manages to dissolve my concerns early on in the book, as well as drown me in 16 chapters of non stop value. The lessons and strategy skills I pulled away from this book have literally fired me up. I can’t wait to start applying everything to my business practices and forward this book over to my team. If you’re new to entrepreneurship do yourself a favor and just give it a listen.

I AM my WHY!

This is a must listen MASTERPIECE for me. The author, Patrick Bet-David is authentic in telling his story as if he were there having a fireside chat with you. Much respect! By the way, I AM #4 (PURPOSE). Continued success and blessings. GOOD STUFF.

Valuetainment videos repackaged as a book/audiobook

If you follow Pat on YouTube you’ll find nothing new here. I’m gonna say it one more time...If you follow Pat on YouTube you’ll find nothing new here.“Let me explain why” this is essentially his YouTube videos repackaged as a book. On the other hand, if you never watched Valuetainment before you’ll gain great advices from this audiobook. Literally, many times listening to this audiobook I caught myself saying “I’ve heard this before.”, “oh he’s made a video about this before, lol.” Ive given a low rating just because I felt cheated given you can get the content on YouTube for free, but still a great book if you never seen Pat’s videos online. If given 5 stars on everything if I wasn’t a Valuetainment follower.

Life Changing

As im sitting here after finishing the book and my outdoor workout All I can say is im INSPIRED.

As a kid I've always played chess with my dad and official tournaments and let me tell you this book makes a lot of sense...

Ive never thought about how you can plan for your next 5-10-15 moves ahead and win the game of life.

This gives me full clarity on what I want next to happen.

Im going for it all!!!

Quite literally the worst business book

I have an MBA and I have read a lot of business books, this one is by far the worst. If you are looking for someone who has achieved great personal success and is willing to share snippets from a plethora of well-researched, well-loved books, then this might be for you. If you want to go deep into strategy and thinking ahead, save yourself the money.

Just a bad book

I struggled to get past the authors ego. The book is a mix of bragging about his own success and nonsensical ramblings about business strategy.
