I bought this as a 2 for 1 because I thought the premise was interesting. I enjoyed the first half - the pace, the way the story was developing. I stopped being involved in the story when the hero parents were suddenly able to raise £50,000 at a pawnbrokers. For me it went downhill from there and just became unbelievable.
The ending was poor and rigged to set the scene for the baddies to star in another book.
Can't recommend, unfortunately. But the narrator did a decent job.
Here's a bit of a tip. If the publishers have to give a book a 'description' after the title - it probably won't live up to the hype! This one was billed as 'Your Child Next: A pulse-pounding and heart-wrenching thriller about every parent’s worst nightmare.'
