Summary

If you have ADHD, your brain doesn't work in the same way as a "normal" or neurotypical brain does because it's wired differently. You and others may see this difference in circuitry as somehow wrong or incomplete. It isn't. It does present you with significant challenges like time management, organization skills, forgetfulness, trouble completing tasks, mood swings, and relationship problems.

In Your Brain's Not Broken, Dr. Tamara Rosier explains how ADHD affects every aspect of your life. You'll finally understand why you think, feel, and act the way you do. Dr. Rosier applies her years of coaching others to offer you the critical practical tools that can dramatically improve your life and relationships.

Anyone with ADHD - as well as anyone who lives with or loves someone with ADHD - will find here a compassionate, encouraging guide to living well and with hope.

Fantastic book that has provided answers and more

The clarity, structure, exercises, tone of and ideas in this book have come in so handy for someone who has been struggling for years and learning different skills without being always able to tell why I have struggled. The answer to the why has brought great relief and there are new techniques that can compliment my practice and already developed skills.

Fantastic book!

This book was a fantastic book that has helped me gain a deeper understanding of my brain. I live in the UK where I am currently on a waiting list for a diagnosis, and to receive a form of treatment; the waiting list is 7 or so months.

This book has provided me with some nifty advice and help in the meantime and for continued management.

It was good!

It’s easy to follow and all passes on stories about the authors clients and her own experiences of having ADHD.

Brilliantly done.

Explains my adhd to me plainly. At 57 years of age and being diagnosed now left me feeling ‘broken’ but I now feel more self possessed and listening to this and other books on the subject has helped me move proactively and positively forward.

informative

there is a background noise underneath the narration, it was driving me crazy and had to stop repeatedly because I was getting worked up. sorry 😪 if the noise wasn't there I would have enjoyed it more, it actually felt like a chore to complete it.

Need to listen again

Great beginning and end but totally zoned out during the middle section so will have to listen again. Found the Solve-it Grid so helpful and reference to the mental battery.
