Excellent listen

After listening to the first book in the series I wanted to listen to more. This book did not disappoint. It was an excellent story and well read. A fried asked me if these stories were for children, me being an adult. I must say that the gory content in places didn't make it seem for children only. If you're an adult who wants an easy read of a ripping yarn then look no further.

Disappointing. Slow. I won't buy another.

It started off badly, when it felt like the narrator was just doing silly voices. And it only improved a little.

There is a lot of exposition to get the story going. Once the story eventually gets going, it's not bad, but it could easily have been 1/3 shorter.

Would I buy another Young Bond book written by Charlie Higson? No.
Would I buy another book read by Nathaniel Parker? Probably not.

Parker is an ace

Nathaniel Parker really makes these books a joy to listen to.

His enthusiasm for getting the details correct , doing the voices to split up the characters from the lines of the book.

Highly recommend and hope he does more audiobooks

Not nearly as good as the others in the series

The story isn’t as strong as the other Hobson young bond books, but that to one side, the accent that the narrator gave to one of the characters I found so grating, that I borderline wanted to punch my headphones… however I did enjoy the rest of the series with the same narrator so maybe my expectations were too high.

Boring attempt to cash in on 007 brand.

Didn’t like or dislike. An ingenious but flawed attempt to engineer a pre007 James that one could care about as a character. Didn’t work for me.
