About this listen

Have you ever heard the saying ‘knowledge is power’? Well, I call bullshit on this: Knowledge is only power if you do something with it!

Choose your path: the road to success or the maze of excuses. In this unflinching narrative, James Fleming shares his extraordinary journey from the streets of Glasgow to global boardrooms. 'You Can Have SUCCESS or EXCUSES, You Cannot Have Both' is a stark reminder that the key to unlocking your potential lies within. With wit, wisdom, and the 'Shitbucket Principle,' Fleming invites you to cast off the shackles of self-doubt and claim the success you deserve.

Prepare to be inspired, motivated, and transformed as you step into your power within.

Welcome to the crossroads of decision, where the path to success and the ally of excuses diverge. This isn't just a book; it's the key to unlocking a door you've always known was there but never dared to open. I'm James Fleming, and I've walked the walk and talked the talk from the grime of Glasgow to the glory of entrepreneurial success. I'm here to share how a shift in mindset, a dash of courage, and a refusal to entertain excuses can catapult you into a life of success.

Strap in; it's going to be one heck of a ride.

A great book that helps the reader/listener cut through the noise and stress of being a business leader and helps instill a real understanding of resilience and self belief.

I’m always interested in hearing different perspectives, and this book lays out a solid foundation for anyone ready to take action and get things done. James doesn’t hold back, his advice is direct, actionable, and geared towards real results.

One of the most compelling aspects of the book is its focus on mindset. Fleming discusses how success isn’t just about skills or talent but about cultivating the right mental attitude. He emphasizes the importance of mental resilience, perseverance, and having a laser-sharp focus on goals. For those struggling with motivation or dealing with setbacks, his tough-love approach serves as a wake-up call.

The Power Within Training was the best choice I have been on a personal development journey and in the last 45 years of life, this hit me to the core.
I agree with the teaching this is a miracle in a nut shell. Thank you so much James, all the best Neil the early bird catches those dreams.

Actionable Outcomes breaking down goals and Accountability

Starts off with all the usual promises, however it quickly slides into the usual self-development talk that is recycled throughout so many books.

Also, the authors description at the end of the book of his current business makes the reader question what qualifies this person to be the author of a book in the first place. they own a very small business and haven’t had any form of outstanding success That you would think someone writing a book would have had to have beforehand.
