I've read a bit about mental health over the years and the approach of Bob Hoffman, who guided Tim Laurence, seems to combine a variety of tools. There is a good balance of picking apart psychological baggage (without letting it become an overwhelming obsession), balancing it with constructive tools to use for changing and moving forward in a CBT sort of way. It's an impressive method that clearly works. While I liked the author and narrator my only reservation is that they sometimes strove to be almost too personable and accessible. They did that thing that parents of small children sometimes do, and made one feel a little like one was being addressed in the same light tone an adult might talk encouragingly to a child. I wouldn't have minded the writing and narration to be a tad dryer and less personable. That is a small personal reservation though, it's a very good book and pleasant to listen to.

Useful combination of many approaches

The Hoffmann Process is fascinating, powerful and profound. If you can possibly do the process week, then do. The book is great starting point for newcomers and a useful resource for graduates.
