Seven people wake up in a remote mansion. The doors are all locked.
They have no idea where they are. Who brought them there. Or how to escape.
Each knew the victims of a dreadful crime committed four years earlier but that's all that links them.

Then a voice echoes through the house with a terrifying message.
They've been poisoned - and have less than 12 hours to live.
There's an antidote on hand: but only if someone admits to being a killer.
And they all claim to be innocent.

The time for confession is rapidly running out.
How many - if any - of them will survive the night?

Wow, what a fantastic read this was. The suspense kept me hooked, I read this in one sitting! A real rollercoaster of emotions, characters I heartily disliked. I sometimes try and play detective to solve these, I was nowhere near on this one! You won't see the twist coming. Brilliantly narrated as well, great job, Tom. I highly recommend this book. I love the scenario of a group trapped together, with a killer or someone trying to get revenge. The summary grabbed me immediately, I bought and read it straight away, I don't regret it and neither will you!

I couldn't put this down

I didn’t enjoy this as much as most of Kernick’s other books; the characters were unlikable, the story merely ok, and I missed Paul Thornley doing the narration.

Not bad

This kept me listening but I did get frustrated at some points. The characters were flawed and believable, intertwining in ways not first apparent. The frustration came from the many twists, the end twist was great but it was somewhat tempered by all the previous close together twists.
All in all I enjoyed the book, would maybe suggest to friends but unlike most of my audible titles, I won't be a regular re visitor.
Good pace, believable characters and a lot of story

twist too many?

Excellent book, which I read in one day. The ending was completely shocking and not what I thought at all. Narration was very good.
