About this listen

"I'm going to die a hundred years before I was born...."

The handwritten note was in a dusty trunk that sat in a cave untouched for 150 years. What did the words mean? When journalist Ray Burton finds the trunk near the Arizona ghost town of Hollow Rock, his life changes in an instant.

Something in the trunk shouldn’t be there.

This begins a dangerous journey of discovery bordering on the impossible. A discovery that will affect the past, the present, and the future.

Tried the Audible version and had to give up as the narration was one of the worst I have heard and was a real barrier to enjoying the book. Ended up getting it on Kindle and really enjoyed it then.

Story is fine - audio narration is dreadful

Reminiscent of Heinlein's "The door into summer" . A simple story (by time travel standards) well told. Narrator was very good despite the attempted Brit - "ish" accents. Very enjoyable.

Entertaining old school sci-fi

A good story but too many coincidences & too easy solutions. But there’s time travel for you. A comfortable read if your new to this type of fiction not too many scientific theories or altered timelines, or is there?
I’m not sure if I’ll venture to the next book as the final scenario and how the individuals “arrive” at their location, it’s history and their communication inspires me for more!
