Simply excellent! Chris Carter can’t write these books quickly enough for my liken. There isn’t another author who can scare the bejeezus out of me like he can and keep me glued to my buds.

In this book there’s a serial killer on the loose but this one has a twist. Mr Carter takes us into the dark web and we meet some evil people but Hunter and Garcia are on the trail.

Thomas Judd again narrates like no one else can he is Robert Hunter!

Do yourself a favour start at the beginning and enjoy the ride.

Hunters on the hunt again!

I have read or listened to the entire Robert Hunter series of books, and have a lot of respect for this author who brings his previous work experience to his stories.
Whilst I wouldn't say this is the best in the series (my favourite by far is 'An Evil Mind'), I felt this story was very ominous. There was a constant feeling of dread for me!!
As usual I thought that the narration was very good, and I look forward to the next installment.
I would recommend starting at the beginning of this series of books. Like any book, getting to know, and like the characters adds to the whole experience.

Hunter strikes again!

I have read all of Cris Carter books and also listened to a few, and this one starts off great but about halfway started to go downhill in the end I did skip read & listen. The main story is about a pickpocket and it's Christmas time so she goes on a pickpocketing spree but not in her home town. After what she called a good days work she has a drink and while having her coffee the man at the next table was very rude to another person as he only asked if he could sit at the table as there were no more seats available so Angela seeing and hearing all this decides to give this man a lesson and steals out of his case which was on the floor. When she gets home she looks through this journal that she took and realizes what she has taken so she goes to the police and it ends up on Robert Hunter's desk, now he works for the serious crime squad. The man a mercenary of sorts does track Angela down so Robert puts her in a safe house, now is anything safe from this man?. All went well and as the story progressed Carter should have made an ending instead he waffled on, first there was this returning of the book where he's got a phone call and keeps dancing to the man's tunes near the ending we get a lesson on the gun Hunter is going to use its weight length capacity and if it plays a true you get the drift which I found totally unacceptable load of twaddle as does one need to know the ins and outs of a certain type of gun. Disappointed with the last third of the book could have easily finished without all the wasted jargon and would have been a better outcome. Quite far fetched towards the end and even the end was very rushed and nonsensical. will be a bit warier if there is another Chris Carter novel
