Loved how this had the two corresponding stories. You get all the gore of a horror as well as a crime thriller. The narrator did a great job and I loved the little sound effect extras that really added to the story

I got this because I really enjoyed the rictus grin by Erica summers and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s cinematic and outlandish in the tradition of American werewolf in London, the narrator is top notch too!

Erica was looking for some Audible listeners to listen & review some of her work. I absolutely love Audible & offered myself straight up for them! I started with this and oh have I started off strong!!

Garrett is living in a rough part of town, in a rough apartment, doing favours he doesn’t want to do for his sketchy landlord. After agreeing to babysit for his awful a-hole of a kid Garrett falls asleep, waking 20 minutes later to something wiggling in his ear…the kid thought it was hilarious to stick a bloodworm in there…but he couldn’t of predicted what the worm was going to do to Garretts mind or the fact that is was going to multiply and take over with searing rage 🫣🪱

Luca’s new to the force, paired up with Mel, a half assed officer thats happy to turn a blind eye to make her job easier. They’ve been tasked to find a brutal serial killer, after finding a victim in a pool of vomit swimming with worms, they realise they need to find this killer before anyone else suffers the same savage fate

F me this was BRUTAL!! Those worms literally changed the whole guys demeanour in the worse way! This was completely different to anything I’ve read recently. The brutality of Garrett was craaaazy and it just kept coming 😱

Also I did not expect to get the worms POV!! 🫣 that did make me laugh 😅 I wasn’t sure what to expect with this but it had me hooked from the very first chapter!! I really enjoyed it! Thank you so much for sending me this! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
